10 September 2013 I want to get my PAN number changed. Is their anyway either by surrendering the existing pancard or any other means.

11 September 2013 Can you describe the process and also which form should i fill. Because I can not request a new PAN card as I already have one and if I submit a request for reissue of PAN card or data correction they will reissue the PAN card with the same PAN number. But i need a new PAN number.

11 September 2013 You want to change the PAN or you want to correction of PAN.

If you want to correction then it is possible and you want to coorection in PAN then also it will be possible, because some person change their sir name and submit the PAN for correction then new PAN No. is generated.

11 September 2013 My data is correct in the current PAN card but i want to get a new PAN number. Can i cancel current PAN card and get a new PAN card with different PAN number.

This application should be used when PAN has already been allotted to the applicant, but when data associated with the PAN (e.g. name of applicant / father's name / date of birth / address) is required to be updated in records of ITD. A new PAN card bearing the same PAN but updated information is issued to applicant.

That is even if you apply for information correction you will get a new PAN card but with the same PAN number as on earlier PAN card
