IS Gold ETF is good for Investment purpose for 3-5 Years Per

Please light me on investment on GOLD ETF for the period of 3-5 years. Which is current & good Schemes & what are the in & out Charges or exit load & what are the procedure to invest in it.

05 May 2009 Hi Hasan,

Gold as investment class is picking up lately owing due to economic slump. Its safe bet with modest return. Over the period of 3-5 yrs you can get resonable return, but i personally think perhaps its bit late as of now to enter gold investment. However it always glitter - its safe. Return may not be that spectacular which u could have got had u invested 2 yrs ago. Equity as class is best at this time if u think 3-5 yrs if u see valuation.

If u want to go with gold its better to go with Gold ETF traded in NSE - UTI one is fine. More or less all Gold ETF will give same return as all invest in same commodity, its all about when u invest in the ETF.

I think you are right because the rate of Gold is already at its high. So i am planning to invest in SIP Scheme.

03 August 2012 no sip available for gold etf. the nav of etf will represents one gram gold price (approx).

In the long term investment horizon i.e. 3 to 5 year, investment in gold etf is good and better decision.

Dont bother about daily nav's. nav is not actual value of your investment for long term investments.

after 3 to5 years, you will get handsome return.
