28 February 2012 Work contract service under service tax - Cess is applicable

Work contract under Local VAT- based on VAT act. but Central cess such as E.Cess & SHE.Cess will not apply

but your query under Income tax category?

29 February 2012 In service tax - E.cess 2% & SHE.Cess 1% is applicable

In VAT- no cess apply
