Is bcom(a&f) valid for admission to law

01 October 2014 respected expert,

i have done bcom (a&f) from ignou under ICAI-IGNOU memorandum.

now i further wish to pursue law from faculty of law new delhi in which graduation is the minimum eligibilty criteria for admission.

i wish to know whether such bcom(a&F) from ignou is valid for admission to faculty of law.

01 October 2014 sir are you sure ??because my friend recently got admission in faculty of law and he told that there is a system of 10+2+3 and also there was one student with such degree but he was denied admission...
please give more clarity on this..

04 October 2014 As per my opinion also it is a valid qualification for entrance purpose. However if u have any doubt then seek a clarification in this regard from college authority itself.

07 January 2026 Update (Dec 2025):

The Bar Council of India BCI has officially clarified that the IGNOU ICAI B.Com A&F (Accountancy & Finance) degree is eligible for admission to the 3 Years LL.B. course.
