Is articleship of 9 months compulsory before going for ipce

I had registered in PE-2 in direct scheme after completion of B.com. After expiry of registration period, I had migrated to IPCC. I have completed ITT. Orientation programme is exempt in my case. 8 months study period is completed.
Now I want to attempt IPCC Exams (Nov-2014 or May 2015).
My queries are:
1. Whether I am eligible for exam with above given status or I need to go for 9 months Articleship before exams.
2. Orientation program is exempted in my case or not?
3. Is there any other condition to complete before exam(mandatory in nature)?

2. you need to check with ICAI decentralized office for the exemption from OTP
3. completion of 9 months is the sufficient condition
