will i be eligible for a rank if i attempt both the groups in nov 2013 after i make an attempt in group 1 in may 2013 (for the sake of familiarity with the exam conditions..)

You wont be given a rank unless you clear your exams in the first attempt.

If you become rank holder you can get benefit from Institute as examination fee concession and other benefits.

Rank is provided on the basis of marks one gents in the both attempts in the single sitting. it does not matter that before that s/he has several failed attempts. One of my friends was not able to pass in last four attempts and than got top ten rank in fifth attempt in final exam.
