Intimation u/s 143(1)

01 January 2014 hi,
i filled my I.T. return for A.Y. 2011-12 in 2012. I received a mail u/s 139(9) as a defect in return. i not detect the defect from return and remain silent. But today I received an intimation U/S 143(1). But there is not any demand in the notice. What should i do for received a notice?

01 January 2014 If there is no demand then i think you should not worry. But as a matter of abundant precaution you should file reply before your assessing officer explaining that return filed by you should not considered as defective return as there is no defect. I assume that there is no technical error in return filing at your end.
