25 August 2010 can interim dividend payable from the P/L account balance pertaining to Earlier years?

25 August 2010 Hi,

As per my understanding and as per section 205(1C) it is very much possible for the payment of Interim Dividend. You are requested to check section 205(1C).

Wait for other expert opinions.

25 August 2010 As per section 2(14A) dividend includes interim dividend. On a combined reading of this section along with section 205(1C),it is possible to declare interim dividend from accumulated profits.
