15 April 2010 Hello sir i m an accountant, i want to know that can we claim input tax credit against imported goods in gurgaon or silvassa, gujarat. If we import then we sale that goods within state or outside state can we claim any duty which we have paid on that import.Suppose we purchase one item locally in silvassa and one item import then can we claim input tax credit of item purchased locally against output tax of imported goods.

16 April 2010 Input Credit under state taxes are allowed against the amount of taxes paid in the state it self against the intra state purchases.
