Input Claim missed during Feb 22

Quick Summary

A client missed claiming their GST input tax credit in February 2022, and the amount appearing in GSTR2B is higher than what was claimed. One of my clients – has short claimed GST during Feb 2022. In GSTR2B the amount appearing is more than, what is claimed. Hence is it permissible to claim the missed amount in the GST returns of May 2022. Please clarify.

30 May 2022 You you can claim input of unclaimed ITC for the year till the due date of filing of Sept Return of next year i.e. 30 Sep 2022 for the financial year 2021-2022.
