08 March 2014 Hello friends, I want to do industrial training in my last year of articleship,but when i hv told to my principal she is telling me that she will give transfer for Industrial Training only after September though I have told her today on 8th March.Also, my articleship will complete on April,2015 . So, as per the rules,I have to go for IT at least 9 months and after September it will only 7 months to go.Please help me, my principal is harassing me.

09 March 2014 Dear Prachi,

as such the regulation doesn't require principal's approval as far as industrial training is concerned. It was only under changed made to regulation 56(2), ICAI has, through wrong means, brought in all sorts of transfers under the approval mechanism.

I would suggest that you give the intimation in writing stating that as per ICAI regulations only 3 months notice is required for industrial training and also mark a copy of the same the secretary, ICAI. let your principal understand that you are serious and not ready to back down..
