29 November 2011 X,KINNER (HIJARA)EARNS RS.650000/- DURING THE F Y 2010-11, BY ITS ACT.

TELL ME HOW TO TREAT IT MALE OR FEMALE AND HOW TO FIND OUT TAX LIABILITY ACCORDING TO ITS STATUS.

AND ALSO FIND OUT NET TAX LIABILITY IGNORING INTT.

PLEASE GIVE UR ANSWER IN ONE WAY ONLY.

29 November 2011 The rates applicable to Individuals will apply as the argument of its woman being can not be substantiated.

Its tax liability starts from 1.60 lacs onwards.

In case, the software for e-filing do not validate the XML file for e-filing, and you are sure that you will get fees from the client, there is no harm in selecting "Male"
as its sex. I assure you, it will not be argued by the IT Authorities.

If the 75% female Kinner adopts 190000/- as the tax slab, then also IT authorities will not waste their time in litigation and admit her sex as female.
.
As you know, these people will not pay to the ITO for the settlement of the case. The
reciprocal may be true. Imagine the situation , where an ITO has to pay money to the assessee for issuing her a notice.
