I want to pay the stamp duty offline for increase in authorised share capital.
Before i file the form no 5, shall i buy the stamp paper of the requisite value? Will it serve the purpose for entering details in form no 5 regarding stamp duty paid?

The provisions regarding stamp duty payment on Form No. 1, Memorandum of Association, Articles of Association, Form No. 5 and Form No. 44 electronically, at the time of their e-filing through MCA portal shall be mandatory with effect from 01st April 2010. Till that time you can pay stamp duty offline also.
However for filing form 5 you have to first buy the stamp papers of the requisite value and then enter the details as required in form no. 5 and file the same.
Why not pay stamp duty online? as it is a hassle free system of paying stamp duty.
