Incorrect claim u/s 143(1)(a)(ii) schedule SI

14 September 2021 I have received the below message from CPC. Not able to understand where the error is because I filled in short term capital gain in similar way last year. Experts please help.

In Schedule part B TI, Sl. No. 11 ' Income chargeable to tax at special rate under section 111A, 112, 112A etc. included in 10' is not equal to sum of the incomes taxed at special rates in Schedule SI.Hence amount at Sl. No. 11 of PartB-TI is recomputed by adopting the amount mentioned in schedule SI.

14 September 2021 It seems you have not 'Confirm' Schedule SI of ITR, hence the difference.

14 September 2021 Hello Sir, thank you for your reply. Please share what you mean by 'Confirm'.
I have a SI schedule with row ' 111A (STCG on shares where STT paid) and special rate 15%' filled in with income from short term capital gain.

14 September 2021 Yes, the schedule is to be confirmed by clicking the tab at bottom. As such all these schedules need to be checked and confirmed, if found OK. Finally verify the complete ITR and check for any variation with the pdf file generated at the end.
