Please tell me what is the last date of filing Income Tax return for the F.Y. 2010-11.

If somebody haven't submitted Income Tax return for the F.Y. 2009-2010. Now, how can he/she can submitted the Income Tax return for refund & what is the lat date of submission of IT return

03 December 2011 The date of Filing of Return is 31.07.2011
for the FY 2010-11 IT Return.

You have to file the return of FY 2009-10
also and you can claim refund if any.

.
In case where your income of FY 2009-10 is taxable, you may have to pay penalty of Rs 5000/-. However, the department rarely imposes such penalty.

We haven't filed return for F.Y. 2009-2010, but now, we received TDS certificate of Rs. 12,0000/- from our Bank for the F.Y. 2009-2010. We have no other income for F.Y. 2009-10 then how can I claim my refund.

03 December 2011 yes you can claim refund...you can file return upto 31-03-2012 or before completion of assessment whichever is earlier. penalty u/s 271F of rs. 5000 and interest u/s 234A 1% per month from the due date till filling of return shall be levied....

03 December 2011 It is not optional but compulsory for you to file the return as your interest income seems to be around Rs.1200000/.

If you require Services of CA, in case not conversant with IT Laws, do not hesitate in doing so.

Your dream of getting refund is a nightmare
now and after deciding the correct tax liability be prepared for depositing the tax for FY 2009-10.

IT Department may soon issue you a notice in case your return is not filed.

But I would like to correct that I received TDS Certificate of Rs. 12,000/- (Twelve Thousand Only).
