MR.X has filed his ITR online for a.y. 2009-10 on 31.3.2011 claiming refund of50,000. However, he has closed his bank account information of which is given in ITR.
Now, what is the remedy for Mr. X to amend bank details in Income Tax Records to get refund on time??

CPC B'lore will send you a communication directing to give correct bank account and MICR number along with a blank cancelled cheque of the said bank account. Upon receipt of the same, they will issue refund.

This means that once refund will be issued and will go back due to closure of the account and then we will have to send the new bank details.
Or we can send new bank details on our own to the CPC Banglore.
