05 March 2008 For the year 2004-05 I paid income tax in excess of Rs 5000. I filed the IT return in Pune, Maharashtra. I got my PAN number from Bangalore in year 2002.
Till now I haven't received my refund. What can I do get my refund?

05 March 2008 SINCE WITH THE PAN NO OF BANGLORE YOU FILED THE RETURN IN MUMBAI WHICH IS NOT CORRECT AS THERE IS NO CHANGE IN PAN ADDRESS. WHENEVER THERE IS CHANGE IS STATE ONE SHOULD FILE THE CORRECTION FORM TO GET THE PAN WITH CHANGE ADDRESS .NOW YOU HAVE TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE DEPARTMENT WHERE THE RETURN WAS FILED TO KNOW THE STATUS OF REFUND

05 March 2008 You can file your return any where in india. You just have to change your PAN Address. For Refund you can write letter to Income Tax department

05 March 2008 FIRST OF ALL CHNAGE YOUR PAN ADDRESS AND INFORM THE ITO WHERE YOU FILED THE IT RETURN .YOU CAN THEN ASK REFUND .KEEP AN ACK. COPY WITH YOU.

05 March 2008 You should enquire from the I T department for the refund. Only they can tell u the correct story for delay in refund.

05 March 2008 FILE THE PAN CORRECTION FORM AT WHERE PAN FORMS ARE SUBMITTED .ONLINE CAN BE DONE VISIT AT WWW.INCOMETAXINDIA.GOV.IN AND FILE PAN CORRECTION FORM

You have to file a correction form at Pan service center . Same can be done online too.

After that u have to visit IT dept and inform them about the change and inquire about your refund.
