Income tax for fy 17_18,. ay 18_19

22 March 2018 Sir,
I am salaried person.I wish to
deposit income tax on Bank FDR interest .Bank does not accept income tax receipt for FY 17_18,AY 18_19 under minor head 300 saying FY should not be less than AY.Please advise how to deposit Income tax.

22 March 2018 F.Y. 2017-18 is not yet over so you cannot pay under minor head 300. Pay under minor head 100 ,i.e. advance tax.

22 March 2018 you have to choose Code 100 Advance tax till 31st March 2018 before end of Financial Year for AY 2018-19 . if you are paying after 31st March only you have to use Code-300 Self Assessment Tax.
