For Direct Tax U Can go for Study Material of V.G Gupta or book by Girish Ahuja.
And for Indirect Tax U can go for book written by Bangar and Bangar.
++++Handbook of case laws by icai.
I had followed those books during my attempt and i got good marks and also got Rank. But i was in old course, so if u r in new course please take suggestion from some experts according to ur syllabus.
