30 January 2017 Can entire rent income be claimed by only one owner even if property is held by joint owners?

31 January 2017 No. Income to be offered by joint owners in proportion to the ownership.

31 January 2017 Example - If you have 40% share , then only 40% of total rent of the years received will be your income for that financial year and declare as per that in your ITR.
