29 September 2010 can anyone tell me that i am a individual & i have a firm but i use my pan card behalf of my firm.& my incometax for the year of 2009-2010 206250 . & sir i paid income tax of my firm 5625 without education cess can anyone tell me in which percentage income tax will deduct my tax. as per my knowledge 30% & sir plz tell me

29 September 2010 Dear ???,

The Income Tax Act, 1961 do not differiantiate between individual & its proprietorship firm. both are considered same & the income of proprietorship is taxed in hands of individuals itself.
