Importance of ipcc?

13 October 2015 I had met an article trainee . During our conversation we came across importance of Ipcc . She said it is not much in use in real industry as things are more advanced. Is what she said true ? If so how much will my learning from Ipcc benefit me?

Ipcc is making your base strong, at that too far more than basic levels in taxations, accounting,auditing...

so stay confident and don't worry what others says
