Immunity from attachment of property after death of assessee

07 March 2016 Hi everybody

one of our client attempted suside due bankruptcy. He got various income tax demands for various assessment years. his Income tax liability is more than 1cr Department raised order against him for attachment of his property. actually right now he doesn't have any property. except a residential house. can his legal heirs claim the immunity against this attachment because there is no other income in the family of the assesses. his family is in very trouble.

Please guide me weather can we claim the immunity from this attachment ??
