12 June 2011 Dear Sir,

can any one help me regarding certificate course on IFRS through ICWAI chapter

as a semi qualified cost accountant & 3.5 years of articles ship experience do i get any edge with specialization on IFRS ( in india or at abroad )

M.P vijay kumar sir (accountants ) announced in class that IFRS may not implement in india or it may take long time to implement in india. i.e more then 4-5 years.

what to do? shall i join the course or not?

plz help me in this regd.

12 June 2011 Look...First and Foremost become fully qualified. Semi Qualified with IFRS is as good as only semi qualified. IFRS do add value to your CV. But on the basis of IFRS you can not get the same recognition as a Qualified Cost Accountant. SO just go to complete the course First and then opt for IFRS.
