04 May 2012 dear sir,
i had e file my return of income tax on
21/06/2011 for A.Y 2011-12 with refund claim but due some postal mistake or any other reason itr v is not reach to the cpc bangalore within the period of 120 days..so guide me how to process to receive the refund order...

04 May 2012 If your ITR-V acknowledgment received by the CPC with in 120 days then date of actual filing i.e submitted return electronically will be consider the date of filing of return. otherwise date of receipt of ITR-V acknowledgment by CPC will consider as date of filing of return. So don't worry regarding it the CPC will process your return but you may lost some benefits which will be not eligible if the return not filed in due date(if have such type) because your acknowledgment didn't received CPC with in 120 i.e your return will consider as filed under section 139(4). Don't worry regarding it.
Note: if you not send again ITR-V acknowledgment till now send it again immediately and then only CPC process your return with respect to the date of receipt of ITR-V acknowledgment.
