Hi,
If rent paid by employee is upto Rs. 3000 p.m. he is not required to produce proof of rent payment i.e. Rent Receipt to the employer.
However if rent paid exceeds Rs.3000 then Rent receipt & Rent agreement also be required to produced by employee to employer.
