dear experts Bangalore is the metro city so HRA for salary calculation taken 50% or 40%
anybody explain thanks in advance

Bangalore is not metro category under Income tax. so only 40% can be considered for HRA exemption calculation

According to income tax, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi & culcutta are metro cities. only to those cities 50% HRA applicable remaining cities HRA shoyld be 40%
