Can a person have HRA Benefit as well as Home Loan benefit?

Scenario :

A person buys house in the same city in which he is doing job and gives it on Rent.
He lives in rented house in the same city. He receives HRA from the company.

Can a person avail both the benefit??

05 July 2011 yes. since his own house rented he can show the rental income under house property and claim HRA for house which he/she staying
