12 June 2015 hello experts i hv a query my employer has not given any tax benifit on HRA recieved by me on the ground that i have paid rent in cash which is 10000 pm. is it a valid ground for not giving me a tax benifit.??? if yes what is the remedy available to me

Thank your employer for following the correct procedure.

02. You can claim the same through filing the return of income, provided you own a RENT RECEIPT.
