Sir,
HRA given to employee and it is required to give information to Income tax department regarding to whom rent is paid?
If yes
what is the time limit
it is given in salary certificate.

As per the circular no 8/2013, if an assessee who is claiming HRA has paid more than Rs. 1 lakh as house rent during the year, he has to mention the PAN of the person to whom rent has been paid in his return of income.
