how to make summary of books comprising of more than 500pages each?

02 January 2011 To remember any topic or subject try to understand that rather than trying to learn. If you understand the topic and and have got a clear concept it will remain in your memory for longer period of time.

Make a summary of important points on topics. Say in chapter 1 there are 10 important topics so make a summary of important points on those topics in brief to enable easy revision. You will see in many books there is summary given in the end of every chapter.

use mnemonics and have a practical approach

03 January 2011 Read the one thing 2 times or more than this you will surely memorise the same thing.
For making summary you should write the important point. According to me important point means the points which by reading the same you are able to remeber whole topic in mind .
