16 June 2008 I am Varun and i have group of persons and we want to build up a website so we have no direction that how to create a website n how to popularise it?
And also inform me inflow and outflow of money.means minimum requirement of money to build up a website and how can we earn through a website.
so plz give me guidence for the same.

Basically their 4 things u should need to know .. b4 starting off ..

1. Domain Name : A url for your website

2. Web hosting : Also called web space for storing your webpages and other files like HTML files / Images / Flash etc.

Thier are many website which will offer u both Bundled . Approx costing cud be something from 3000 to 5000 for a general (static) website having upto 100 pages

3. Web Designing : What will be look of your website . Who will design it . etc

4. Content : Articles / Links / Images

Regarding revenue generation it depends upon your website .

Following are common method on how ppl make money out of website

1. By Sale of products (Shopping Site)
2. Subscription/fee based access (Magazine Site / Online Consultancy Sites)
3. Get Direct Ads for your ads (Suitable for all sites generally for huge traffic site)
4. PPC / PPA Ad network like google adsense / bidvitiser etc (Suitable for all sites)
5. Referring customer to others (For Example u might have seen shaadi.com banner on many sites)
