I have a query regarding Principal amount on Housing Loan. I had a housing loan which I pre-closed this year - Jul 2010. Will the principal amount I paid at the time of pre-closure be considered under section 80C?

Housing Loan if closed prior than also it is considered U/s 80C ( within 1.00 limit)

Yes.. any repayment of principal amount will be allowed with the limits of section 80C.
