27 May 2015 Dear Sir,

I am staying in ahmedabad. I also purchased a house here 2 yrs back . But due to office proximity and family problems I had to shift to a rental house near my office. My owned house is empty.

Is it possible to claim HRA and housing loan benefits. As I am paying rent and my house is vacant.

Pl help.

27 May 2015 Yes, you can very well claim HRA as well as housing loan benefits. There is no any negative provision in the Act.
