16 February 2014 House property is in the name of wife but loan was taken in the name of Husband for buy that house, loan and interest amount also repaid by husband.. that house property was claimed as self occupied property in wife's IT return. who can claim that interest and principle portion wife or husband ?

17 February 2014 Ideally as the loan was taken by husband and also repaid by him only it is to be claimed by husband only .... Provided that its claimed as house property in husbands return only n not in wife's return ... Also if te husband was taken as part owner of the house while buying the same ( assuming that its not the case now ) it wud have given the claim a good support
