22 November 2010 Briefly, Registration of Proprietary businesses is not compulsory in general in Delhi, and in particular with your proposed kind of business. Still, you may seek, if you want, registration with the Registrar of Firms, Delhi for your Firm. However, you are are required to seek a trade licence from MCD to open a shop/place of work for your business. While registration of Firm would require one time fee for registration, the trade licence from MCD require renewal fee periodically. Additionally, sales tax registration may also be required for your firm.
