An individual's Hindu Undivided Family (HUF) PAN card is showing as inactive, preventing financial transactions. Despite providing proof of inactivity, the Income Tax Department insists the PAN is active. This issue stems from a 15-year-old situation involving two PANs, where an oath was given to use only one, but the department has now blocked the PAN on which the oath was given. The advice received suggests contacting the jurisdictional officer to rectify the portal error and surrendering the additional PAN previously.

You should have surrendered the additional PAN. Keeping it idle created the hurdle. Now you will have to complete kyc based on new pan no.
