Please explain what is LTC(leave travel concession)? Why it is given by emploer to employee? Please dont explain the exemption limits regarding LTC. I just want to understand the meaning of LTC and purpose for giving by the employer to employee...........

Leave Travel Concession as the name suggests is a facility provided to an employee to visit any or a particular place of his choice during his period of leave granted in terms of the employee's appointment at certain periodic intervals as may be determined by the employer to part finance the cost of the journey for self/and family.
