The Karnataka Authority of Advance Ruling (AAR) ruled that 12% GST is applicable on Job work of Thermal spray/metal or metal alloy coating on goods belonging to another person if the principal is registered.

1.I Purchase Powder for Powder Coating
2.My Vendor (Material Sale Party) issue readymade job to me for only powder coating.
3.I labour work on job through machinery/departmental after i return job to Vendor
4.In this case 12% GST Ok

Yes, 12% GST over job work charges is OK. (It is service, not sale of goods)
