22 September 2017 Is GST applicable on the commercial Rent received by an Individual? Is it compulsory for receipent to register under GST?

22 September 2017 1. The turn over is exceeding 20lakhs then Registration is required. If not no need... 2. No... Not compulsory. But, the recipient is registered and landlord is URD then RCM ll be applicable to RD....

23 September 2017 GST applicable on rent also. But if your total receipts is less than Rs.2000000 then no need to get registered & pay tax on it......

23 September 2017 Also keep in mind that if a business is run in a residential premises , one has to pay GST one is RD in GST or under RCM.
