is Gratuity part of Employee's CTC? Pls. explain

DEAR ANONYMOUS,
IN MY OPINION, MOST OF THE ORGANIZATION ARE NOT CONSIDERING THE GRATUITY AMOUNT IN THE CTC. HOWEVER IT SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED AS A PART OF THE CTC BECAUSE OF TIME PERIOD OF 5 YRS. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT FOR AN ORGN TO RETAIN QUALITY TALENT PEOPLE IN THE ORGN FOR 5 YRS.
