I want to file income tax return for the fy15-16 & fy16-17 as i have to apply for US Visa and they were asking to submitt last 3 year ITR Acknowledgement.

As i kwn that 31/03/2018 was the last date to file online return, is there any way to submit the same.

pl help me its urget

15 May 2018 No, there is no way to file your returns as of now for FY 15-16 and FY 16-17

15 May 2018 You can apply for condonation of delay. First file an application with the jurisdictional Commissioner of Income-Tax seeking condonation of delay in filing the return. The application should mention in detail the reasons for not filing the return within the due date. Once the condonation application is accepted by the Commissioner and an order condoning the delay is passed by the Commissioner, then you can file the income tax return online. A copy of the order is required to be attached on the e filing portal.

15 May 2018 well, given that it is urgent, the above solutions won't help you. So gotta live with the things as they are. You may try to submit physical return with the local tax office. But they generally dont stamp the acknowledgment (so it won't help with the Visa officer)
