03 August 2012 one of my new client being an Individual as Contractor providing Mending & Folding services related to Grey Fabrics to Textile Industry like Reliance Industries Ltd.

He wants to take New ST Registration immediately. Now if we supposed to file ST-1 online to Department then which type of Services we have to select for this purposes.

03 August 2012 Now there is only one code is allotted for all services. Therefore when you go for online registration,the system will show the name of service as" services other than in the negative list". This is applicable from 01.07.2102 and therefore apply RC in that name and when you start paying service tax in challan, you can write your service name in the remarks column. That RC is sufficient for all services.

RC will be issued within 7 days in ST-2.

18 September 2012 Dear Rengaraj ji, Please let me know, whether the company required to amend RC after 01.07.2012 or not?

And also if company is already registered under service tax in GTA service, and after 01.07.2012 company is liable for reverse charge on Security services, then the company is required to amend the RC or not??
