Freight paid to unregistered person on dtd 09 October,17, Rs 30000/-. Is Rcm applicable or not ??? if transporter not issue buity and consignment note then what will happen ????

RCM is still applicable u/S 9(3) so rcm applicable.on transporter invoices will continue.

If transporter not issue builty & consignment note then no need to pay tax under RCM on it as same is exempted.

Don't you think if we are accounting the amount of 30000 then we are liable to pay under RCM irrespective of consignment note etc. or is it specified that RCm is payable only on note?
I would prefer that RCM is paid and taken credit to avoid complication later

I agree with Ms.Rashmi. RCM is not applicable unless the transport services is received from GTA. Services received from transporters other than GTA is exempted.

Yes both are different.
GTA issues consignment note & transporter dont issue.
RCM applicable on GTA only

I am little confused on this one. will you help to elaborate.
for instance if I say that I have paid Rs. 10000 to mr. X who is URD as freight charges and say he is not issuing any note so RCM will not be applicable.
although may be the same goods came through some GTA who has issued me a consignment note instead.
Just stating wrong reason we can avoid RCM.
I am saying this because this was not scenario in service tax. we had to pay ST irrespective of note/GR.

We even uses to pay ST even on unloading expenses from UR labour.
