Please throw some light on the doubt I am having regarding free samples

No financial transaction is involved in free samples.
Neither you have to pay nor you will receive anything.
So only Memorandum A/c of Sample Received may be maintained. When you issue samples; you can deduct the quantities you issue.
This account will not be reflected into your books of account.
