12 July 2011 Dear Friends / Experts,

I am facing discrepancy in the downloaded form 16A.

That is, the 'date on which tax deposited' does not match with the 'Tax deposited in respect of the deductee' for a specific 'Challan Serial Number'.

I have verified the excel file and it is having the appropriate information.

In NSDL website, banks uploaded details perfectly matching for the challan no. and the amount.

Query

I am unable to understand the reason for such peculiarity. Can someone share your experience, if any on the matter ?

13 July 2011 This is because the upload is rejected and second time the company has not uploaded but you can file your return on the basis of Form No. 16A
