If an employee leaves the job, is it the duty of the employer to provide Form 12B or employee can generate it.

Form No 12B is generated and verified by the employee only.

It is meant to provide the information and income and TDS details related with the earlier employment, so that TDS formalities could be completed by the new employer with whom the assessee continues.
