13 July 2013 will someone please tell me how does the price of gold silver, crude oil are affected in the international market ( and not in india) when dollar appreciates in international market.

14 July 2013 There are no hard and fast rules how prices of commodity markets are affected due to variations in dollar prices.
.
However; you may regularly refer some of the magazines like Money, Capital Market etc. to study the pattern of changes and reasons thereof.
.
Most of the variations are dependent upon the speculative transactions entered in the markets.

23 July 2013 I agree with experts reply as there may be so many reasons for price fluctuation. Demand and supply gap in the commodities play the most important role.

From published and unpublished data , news, romours, inter-national relationship, production and consumption figures, employment scenario, economic condition etc are some other factors responsible for the fluctuations.

Those who are growth oriented; pay attention on the earning capacity, expansion, competitiveness, market share, CSR etc. etc.

Dividend pay a very little weight to select a portfolio.

(Although it ensures the company is good).
