Dear All,
my client want to pay Indonesian client a sum of $2496 for a exhibition held in jakarta, Indonesia.
my query is where a tds u/s. 195 is applicable or not. i want to give 15cb/15ca to him on urgent basis.

yes tds u/s 195 is surely applicable in this case.

can u tell me what rate deduction should be done & reason for that... in dtaa with usa, there is exempt..

u need to check the dtaa from income tax website if its exempt then no need to deduct any tds.

first check dtaa if the transaction is covered and exempted then u dont have to deduct tds else u/s 195.
