09 September 2013 Dear Sir

We are a service receiver and we registered in last month in service tax

and we already recd.services from transporter in june 2012 ,aug 2012,and dec 2012

so now we paid service tax (25% to 12.36%)+ interest amount @18%

so my question is can i fill my service tax return in Oct to march 2013 combined & how can i do benefit of service tax .

please reply as soon as possible

09 September 2013 As per my view, you have taken service tax registration in previous month either in July'13 or in August'13, and after taking service tax registration, you have paid service tax which you have not paid earlier for the month of June'12, Aug'12 and Dec'12, You need not file the ST-3 for the period Oct'12 to March'13, if you file, system will reject the same. You should file your return for the period April'13 to Sept'13.

but what about my paid challan of service tax i paid with interest and if i not file my return so department not charges us late file of service tax return charges
